GSDLN Videoconference Program Announcement

The Seacoast Science Center is offering a series of programs in conjunction with GSDLN. These distance learning programs will be geared for middle school students and presented by Perrin Cothran Chick, Education Director of the Seacoast Science Center in Rye, NH. Interactive participation will compliment content information. All programs will be broadcast from the new Gregg Interactive learning studio as an Interactive Videoconference via the GSDLN.

Description

Program Title: Comparing Coasts
Have you every wondered how our Atlantic coast compares to that of the Pacific coast? Through activities and video images we will compare the coast of New England with California's rocky coast. Geography lessons will compliment scientific experiments for a truly interdisciplinary program.

Non-member Sites: $105.00 Connection Fee to GSDLN

Technical

This program is open to all public and private schools and non-profits that have access to two-way interactive video equipment (ISDN or IP). If you are unsure whether or not you have access to this type of equipment, or don’t understand these terms, you should be working with your school's technology coordinator. This session does not work with a web cam hooked up to a computer. Your equipment should be able to do H.323 (IP) or H.320 (ISDN) videoconference connections.
