
The Seacoast Science Center is offering a series of programs in conjunction with GSDLN. These distance learning programs will be presented by Perrin Cothran Chick, Education Director of the Seacoast Science Center in Rye, NH. Interactive participation will compliment content information. All programs will be broadcast from the new Gregg Interactive learning studio as an Interactive Videoconference via the GSDLN.

Description
Program Title: A sampling of SSC programs for Pre-Service Educators and Teachers
A special event has been planned for Pre-service educators and Teachers. The Seacoast Science Center want to give you a glimpse at our distance educations programs, content and educational resources. Join us to learn how we can enrich your future classrooms, and help you meet state and national frameworks. Underwater images of of the rocky shore, game show style activities and engaging live animals are just a few of the offerings that are available to you through the Seacoast Science Center in Rye NH.
After an introduction of the Seacoast Science Center, your host will show you many of the resources and programs available to you and your classroom. We will give you an overview of our lobster, horseshoe crab,and animal adaptation programs. A question answer session will culminate this special event

Technical
This program is open to all public and private schools and non-profits that have access to two-way interactive video equipment (ISDN or IP). If you are unsure whether or not you have access to this type of equipment, or don’t understand these terms, you should be working with your school's technology coordinator. This session does not work with a web cam hooked up to a computer. Your equipment should be able to do H.323 (IP) or H.320 (ISDN) videoconference connections.
