Description
GSDLN Hosts the Seacoast Science Center Presentation of Lobsters and Local Lore . The Seacoast Science Center is offering a series of programs in conjunction with GSDLN. These distance learning programs will be geared for middle school students and presented by Perrin Cothran Chick, Education Director of the Seacoast Science Center in Rye , NH . Interactive participation will compliment content information. All programs will be broadcast from the new Gregg Interactive learning studio as an Interactive Videoconference via the GSDLN.
Learn all about New England 's iconic crustacean, Homarus americanus , the American Lobster. Using live lobsters, underwater images and hands-on activities, participants will learn about the lobster's adaptations and life cycle. You will see images of a lobster molting and learn about the lobstering industry.www.seacoastsciencecenter.org

Technical
This program is open to all public and private schools who have access to two-way interactive video equipment (ISDN or IP). If you are unsure whether or not you have access to this type of equipment, or don’t understand these terms, you should be working with your school's technology coordinator. This session does not work with a web cam hooked up to a computer. Your equipment should be able to do H.323 (IP) or H.320 (ISDN) videoconference connections.
